A stick-sweet entry

Whew! Last weekend in Milwaukee was a wonderful break for me. I got to see some amazing people, and left quite refreshed. It helped me get my bounce back and take a more positive look at things again. Thank you, my dear friends!

I have been feeling very negative lately, and that has to stop. Cuz it's like, bringing me down, man. So, to jump start the more positive me, I'm doing my "15 statements" yet again. (For those of you just tuning in, the "15 statements" was a meme that got passed around not that long ago. They are 15 statements directed to people in the blogger's life. They are kept anonymous.) This time, each list item has to be happy. They may come off as sappy, but they are sincere.

  1. When describing me, you once listed "happy" as one of the adjectives. I treasure that as one of my favorite compliments.

  2. I still have those fuzzy bear stickers you gave me. They will always make me smile because you will always be important to me.

  3. Your giggle is contageous and makes me try harder to be funny. It's impossible to be grumpy around you.

  4. Your example has shown me how to keep my resolve. I've always looked up to you, and I probably always will.

  5. You helped me learn how to shout and work a stage. You taught me how to enjoy performing. I will always be grateful for that.

  6. You were the first person outside of my childhood to make me laugh till I couldn't breathe. From that I've learned how to laugh more.

  7. Talking to you makes my brain tingle. You've been the major source of my intellectual material. My tingly brain thanks you.

  8. Your confidence in me sparked my confidence in myself. I don't think you know what a huge difference you have made in my life. Thank you.

  9. I call you when I'm speechless because you always seem to be able to find my words.

  10. You always make me feel incredibly sexy.

  11. I admire your decision so much.

  12. I stayed because of your concern. You are such an asset here, and your kindess has made all the difference.

  13. You have cooler shoes than anyone I have ever met.

  14. Your apartment was my second home. You've always made me feel completely at ease.

  15. You inspire me to be daring. Rather, you've shown me that I've always been daring. You've shown me how to be who I really am.

I thought about adding the names to this one because they were all so positive. But so many of them apply to so many of my friends, I wanted to keep them nameless, because while they were inspired by specific people, you have all inspired me, you have all put me at ease, and you have all made all of the difference.

Much love,
Rae
